Adding a bunch of my weekly “most played” songs.

So basically, I’ve been really busy with studies (it’s that time of the month, no, not that one (and I’m the wrong gender either way), the gruesome exam-month) and learning digital painting. And I am sorry for that, so to make up for it I’ll add a bunch of songs I enjoy in this post. Put short, I’m lazy and often forget about simple things as posting on my blog.

So, there’s my most played songs from the few past weeks, and some songs I just like.

Another friday and another most played song.

The most played song on my playlist this friday is a brilliant song made by Boards of Canada. It’s named Roygbiv, which is a nice way to remember the colors of the rainbow by the way, and is found on the album named Music Has The Right To Children from 1998.

If you haven’t heard about them before, here is a bit about their sound, taken from Wikipedia

Boards of Canada’s music is reminiscent of the warm, scratchy, artificial sounds of 1970s media and contains themes of childhood, nostalgia and the natural world. Michael and Marcus have mentioned the documentary films of the National Film Board of Canada, from which the group’s name is derived, as a source of inspiration.

Another friday and another song.

Most played in my playlist today (and this week) is a song made by Crystal Castles, it’s named Untrust Us.

Crystal Castles is the first full-length LP by Toronto-based duo Crystal Castles. It was released in North America on March 18, 2008 and in the UK on April 28, 2008.

If music is an addiction, I am addicted.
Over the last years I’ve realized that I can’t go around for long without music, preferably music that I like. Whether it sounds from speakers or headphones.

I like most music-genres, as long as it has a nice, clear and melodic sound to it, it’s good.

I’ve listened to a lot of different music through my life, good and bad, loud and quiet, electronic to death-metal. There’s truly a lot of both good and bad artists and bands out there, with very different quality, ranging from legendary, cult-like music to music worthy only the recycle bin.

However, I do have a few “favorites”, mostly artists or bands that are different and easy to remember when a tune plays.

I do like a lot of music, but some artists and bands stands out, being so different, creative and refreshing that’s it a real pleasure every time you’re listening.

As I’m writing this, ‘Such Great Heights’ by ‘The Postal Service‘ is playing on my Creative Zen Vision: M. The soft voice of ‘Ben Gibbard’ is flowing from my headphones and into my ears.. Music is great.

The definition of mashup is basically putting several sources into a mixture.

I just recently found out about this guy actually, stumbled upon it while reading Dagbladet (One of Norway’s most established newspaper).

Listened to a few of his mashups on YouTube, he’s really good at it, a lot of creativity and potential!

His name is Peter, he’s twentyfour (24) years old from Ålesund (Aalesund) in Norway.
