Resources and tutorials for digital drawing.

Note: Most of these tutorials requires the user to have both Adobe Photoshop (or other software to simulate brushes) and a digital tablet (Wacom, for example) with a stylus.

40 Fascinating Digital Painting Tutorials – Through PSDTuts.com

ConceptArt.org – Over 100 free e-books – I would recommend Bridgman and Loomis, very instructional and educational. Conceptart.org is a great community for artists, if you need advice or critics I would highly recommend creating a sketchbook and upload your work.

DeviantArt – Photoshop Tutorials – The tutorials vary a lot in difficulty and detail, but overall it’s nice.

DrawSpace – Requires membership, a lot of tutorials varying from beginning to advanced artists.

EyesOnTutorials – Most of the tutorials here actually requires the artist to have a lot of knowledge, the tutorials aren’t very detailed.

GFXArtist.com – Collection of different type of tutorials aimed at digital painting.

IDrawGirls.com – Over 200 free videos, mostly explaining this concept artist’ style. He sells educational videos as well, good stuff.

ImagineFX – Workshops - A lot of tutorials/worklogs from professional artists. Download resources here.

ItchStudios.com – Mostly a tutorial created by a conceptart.org user who were tired of giving the same feedback over and over. Small, but good, tutorial that covers shadow and light, as well as how different materials reflect differently and some about human anatomy and “thinking in layers”.

Keetee – Not a lot of tutorials on digital drawing, yet, but some very good and detailed tutorials on certain techniques.

MoatddTutorials – Youtube videos showing basics of how to mix colors in digital painting. Small input on environmental, clothing and figure drawing. Worth subscribing to.

PSDFan – Not many tutorials on digital drawing, but some nice Photoshop tutorials in general, and a lot of inspiration.

PSDTuts – Not a lot of tutorials on digital drawing, but most of them are quite well written, requires some knowledge.
