I'm sorry it didn't solve your problem. I haven't really seen that problem myself so I don't know how to troubleshoot it. If you have any computer wizards at your work you could try asking them about the certificates on the RSA server (for Citrix). Or you could hand them your laptop and ask them if they can fix it.

Yes that has help thank you, I now have it the file in the correct place, however I am still getting the error 'Client Error, You have not chosen to trust "C0M0D0 High Assurance Secure Server CA", the issuer of the server's security certificate (SSL error 61)'...So I think there might be other issues, will try again tomorrow as I have to go to work soon :-(, as someone mentioned earlier in the thread I have tried both of the root1 cert avaliable. Thanks again for the help.

Aha, I understand. So you're unable to move the .CRT certificate into /usr/lib/ICAClient/keystore/cacerts? If I understand you correctly - you do also need root rights to edit the root filesystem. You can get this by opening the "Run Application" launcher (alt+F2) and write "gksu nautilus" then browse to "username/Desktop" copy or cut the .CRT file and browse to "/usr/lib/ICAClient/keystore/cacerts" then paste it in.

Hope this helps! When I think about it, and I am glad you mentioned it, I think I should write this in the guide.

Sorry I must be coming across as a right plonker, I have followed the how to - to the letter I have citrix installed and working, and have downloaded the root one certificate to my desktop and changed the cer to crt, what i can not appear to do is then move the to root 1 certificate to the correct place as i am told I don't have permission to do so, and if i attempt to download to straight to the folder it does't let me.

It's described in the how-to, but I surely can paste it here as well.

While in terminal, write (this depends on where you have downloaded the file, you might need to "cd" to somewhere else if you didn't download to the desktop) - cd ~/Desktop
While in terminal, write - sudo tar xvfz en.linuxx86.tar.gz
While in terminal, write - sudo ./setupwfc

Install the ICA client > Follow the instructions given on screen – Use the defaults for a smooth installation, choose to integrate the client with GNOME/KDE

Matt: Make sure you use the command "sudo" when you copy the file to the folder. Seeing as this folder is within the root of your Ubuntu installation you need administrator-rights to do changes to the system (this is because of higher security in the OS). You should be prompted with a password when you sudo, make sure you put in the administrator-password and it should copy.

I have followed the how to all makes sense and is fine but when I try to copy the root one certificate to usr/lib/icaclient/keystore/cacerts it denies me permission! As this folder only has root permissions, check all my user and groups!!!

@JoAnn I'm not sure about that, but I used "Download - Equifax Secure Certificate Authority (Base-64 encoded X.509)" when I tried, you could test both, or ask your company if they know about the certificates for your ICA/RSA server. Glad you got it to work!

Firstly - thank you for this! I got it to work, for now.
I'm a pretty complete newbie and - there are two root 1 certificates for Step 3, so I don't know which one to use? Do I need to maybe check with my company?

Hi

1st step: On ubuntu 9.04 libxaw6 has been replaced by libxaw7:
sudo apt-get install libxaw7 libmotif3
(in my case libxaw7 was installed by default)

Thanks for sharing this, it was a great help!

Doug: You can simply uninstall the ICA Citrix client by running the setupwfc script located under "/usr/lib/ICAClient/" if you installed it as root, or "/home//x86/ICAClient/" (I think this was the path, or similar).

Hope this helps.

Hmm.. Comment bugged, suppose I shouldn't have used those signs.

*1.. cd /home/yourusername/Desktop/ - The username and desktop subdirectories are case-sensitive, so be sure to get those right.
*2. sudo tar xvfz nameofthepackedfileorfolder - Again, be sure that you're in the right location where your file/folder is located.

Sorry for late replies, been stuck at work for most of today, 17 hour shift is draining.

Geneva: Be sure that you're currently located in the path where you have downloaded your tar. Firefox downloads files to the desktop on your current user by default, if that is the case for you, you could try the following:

1. cd /home/(Case-sensitive)/Desktop(Case-sensitive) Or of course, if you know the destination of the file, cd to that point
2. sudo tar xvfz

I hope this helps, the error quite clearly state that you're trying to unpack a file or directory that simply doesn't exist at the location you try unpacking it from. If my tips doesn't work, try googling the error-message. The Ubuntu Forums does also have a lot of very experienced users who most certainly can assist.

Hey -

I got stuck at step 3 - unpacking the client. It gives the error message:

tar: en.linuxx86.tar.gz: Cannot open: No such file or directory
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
tar: Child returned status 2
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors

Any ideas as to how to fix this?

You're welcome. I'm glad the guide is helping.

Part 2, about the certificate, is something I had problems with on my own install, decided to just add it along. Nice that you got it to work even without it, though!
